“So it happened that often I found myself alone in the restoration laboratory and I had to take pictures of the works I was restoring. So it happened that looking at a painting burned surface, so full of experiences and real life but not alive, I wanted to bring to it firm full alive skin. A research into material consistency, into differences between skins. The body comes close to the object-work. Relation between the painting and me: I move closer to the painting, I stay behind it, I intertwine with the painting. The title refers to a key idea in restoration: the work time-life. This series of photos expresses my reflection on marriage between life and art”.
